O God, open my lips,
and my mouth shall proclaim your praise. (Ps. 51:15 CEB)
Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength;
they will fly up on wings like eagles;
they will run and not be tired;
they will walk and not be weary. (Isiah 40:31 CEB)
Sustaining God, in the midst of our day, and embrace by your world
we call upon your wisdom; we draw upon your strength; we rely upon your grace.
Help us to continue faithfully in your way, by the power of the Holy Spirit
for you have raised us to new life in Jesus Christ, and your blessings to us and to your world come in generous measure.
In our hearts and with our voices, we name before you that for which we give thanks this day:
for the gift of work, to tend our bodies, homes, and families, to build up our communities, to bless creation;
for the gift of care, to hold your world—its people, its needs, and all creation—in loving concern;
for the gift of small daily pleasures that encourage and comfort.
Strengthen us, O God, to continue this day, sensitive to your presence among and within us.
Give us the courage to do your will, wherever it may lead us.
This we pray through Jesus, the Christ.
